Madeleine Agnew is a North Devon based Mindfulness practitioner, psychotherapist and mental health professional with over 15 years working with many people in therapy in a variety of settings and with many different mental and physical health problems. Being holistic in approach means as well as offering talking therapy we also focus on you as a whole person, mind, body and soul. With a deep understanding of how connected the mind and body are.
During her time as a therapist she has worked with adults and children suffering from stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, phobias and overthinking amongst many other problems. She used primarily Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches.
For over 6 year years she has been training other therapists and founded The Devon School of Meditation in North Devon. She has also developed various courses herself mainly around intregrating mindfulness into other techinques and for working with vulnerable children and those suffering from trauma.
She has been working privately for a few years now and has a passion of creating a space for clients can feel safe, seen, secure and relaxed.
Madeleine has studied for many years and bases much of her work developing self compassion. She is at the moment developing a new course with her collegue Nick Cooke around Compassion focused wellbeing for therapists, councillors and other mental health professions.
